The Ministry of Forests has released a new companion guide to help natural resource districts prepare a wildfire timber salvage strategy plan. Each district builds its plan with local partners, including agreement holders such as woodlot licensees, so that burnt timber can be recovered quickly and cutting permits issued efficiently in wildfire-affected areas.
The companion guide is used alongside the Wildfire Timber Salvage Planning and Administration Guide.
